Convolutions in Teaching English to ESL Learners in Pakistan
Abstract
English language has established its importance in the modern world. English as second/foreign language is a trend now in various nations of the world as it has numerous benefits. ESL learning is different from 1st language learning in many ways. In ESL learning situations the importance of a teacher is undeniable. As for ESL learners teachers facilitates learning process of the students. In Pakistan English has been a craze since independence. This research emphasis to explore if there are any convolutions faced by the ESL teachers while teaching English to students in Pakistan. The population comprised teachers from Lahore whereas the sample size was 100.The data was collected through an opinionnaire which comprised of 10 questions related to different and possible difficulties a teacher can face. The finding revealed that there are a lot of convolutions, problems and issues for the teachers involved in ESL learning in Pakistan
