How to Cite

A Challenges of Using ICT at Secondary Schools in Rawalpindi

Abstract

The main aim of this study is to examine the Challenges of Using ICT at Secondary Schools in Rawalpindi. Information Communication and Technology is a source of connecting, sharing, transferring, and communicating out knowledge and information around the world. ICT consist of all equipment’s, applications and services that involve communication. Computer, cell phones, television, radios, and satellite system all are part of ICT. Total population of secondary schools in Rawalpindi City was four hundred and four out of them forty schools were randomly selected. Purposive Random Sampling was used in this study. Sample size of this study was three hundred. Seven schools’ teachers were selected randomly. Self- developed questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was developed by researcher with the help of supervisor and they have refined its items after having taken the response of the expert. Schedule interview questionnaire was developed by the researcher to conduct interview from teachers. It is concluded that the use of ICT in the classroom is very effective and use for the both teachers and the students .It helps for the both teachers and the students for teaching and the learning. On the bases of the conclusion it is recommended that the government should allow and pay the attention on the using of the ICT in the classroom for the both students and teachers because now the learning is impossible without the use of technologies in the classroom.
